We're the fun station with Two and a Half Men, The Vampire Diaries, ARROW, The Simpsons, Family Guy and our morning show Eye Opener. We're owned by the Tribune Company and we share studios with the co-owned SunSentinel newspaper in Fort Lauderdale.

    WSFL-TV (SFL-TV) is Miami-Fort Lauderdale’s CW affiliate, programming a strong schedule of entertainment, local news, and public affairs programming. SFL-TV’s signal reaches 1,583,300 South Florida television households representing more than 4 million people. The station reaches 1,108,310 cable households in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties, plus extends into 350,600 West Palm Beach cable households. SFL-TV signed on the air in October 1982 as WDZL, an independent station. In 1995, WDZL became South Florida’s WB network affiliate. The WB was a magnet for teen and young adult viewers with hits such as 7th Heaven, Smallville, Gilmore Girls, and Charmed. In 1997, Tribune acquired Renaissance Communications, a group of six television stations that included WDZL. In 1998, the station’s call letters were changed to WBZL to emphasize its affiliation with the WB network. In 2006 Warner Brothers and CBS Corp created a new broadcast television network, called CW, replacing the WB and UPN networks. WBZL was the local station that acquired this new network affiliation. To mark the network switch and to enhance the relationship with South Florida WBZL changed its call letters to WSFL-TV. Today, SFL-TV is known for its hit shows like The Simpsons, Family Guy, Two and a Half Men, Modern Family, Arsenio, Raymond and Seinfeld. Plus The CW network shows like The Originals, Arrow and The Vampire Diaries. The station connects with fans online through sfltv.net, SFLCW on Facebook, @WSFL on Twitter, and SFLTV on Instagram. The station has developed a strong identity in the community through its support of public service campaigns and organizations such as the Sun Sentinel Children’s Fund, a McCormick Foundation Fund, the Partnership for a Drug Free America and The March of Dimes. The station’s local public affairs program, Inside South Florida features in-depth analysis of issues in South Florida. As well as Eye Opener a national morning show that features local news segments. Many of SFL-TV’s employees have been recognized locally and nationally by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Promax, Community Action Network, Advertising Federation and others.
