Alexa started her own fitness and nutrition studio in 2009 looking forward to offering the people in rural Iowa a chance to live a healthy life. Alexa received her bachelors degree in Dietetics from Iowa State University and is currently expanding her knowledge with a Masters in Health Studies from the University of Alabama. She has a passion for helping people reach their goals of optimal health and got this after watching friends and family members struggle with their weight and saw the impact firsthand that good nutrition can have on health related ailments. This gave her a passion for nutrition and she looks to help you create realistic changes into your life to complete your own circle of health by incorporating good nutrition with exercise for the whole picture of health and wellness. She is passionate about shedding light on some of the myths and misunderstandings that are perpetuated in the world of wellness in order to help clients sift through the nonsense and start eating to support REAL health for life. Her primary focus is the restoration of excellent metabolic function, by helping clients break free from restrictive diets, achieve balanced hormonal health, vibrant energy, and natural weight management. As Alexa’s family continues to grow and her time at home becomes more and more precious, she looks to move on in a new direction and use this website and blog to expand her offerings in nutrition and wellness. Her blog includes healthy versions of recipes using alternative ingredients to the typical less healthy ingredients found along with explanations of why these are better for your health. When looking at the whole picture of health, weight loss and improved mood often naturally follows the treatment of many diseases and health ailments. It’s time to put dieting to rest for life and declare FREEDOM from the lies the world is telling us about food. You deserve to be healthy and more importantly, happy. Alexa will teach you how to heal and cleanse your body through realistic lifestyle changes that will help you prevent disease and shed unwanted weight. What am I working on right now?
