Urban Swank is a food blog dedicated to bringing a wealth of information and a different perspective on both food and drinks to our fellow foodies. The Urban Swank Blog will include honest, 100% unbiased restaurant reviews, upcoming foodie events, recipes from local favorites, the best of, new restaurants, interviews with upcoming chefs, Houston happy hour and brunch spots, restaurant specials, and much more!

Easily described as the merging of two perspectives, Urban Swank brings you the world of food from two interesting and unique view points. This enables Urban Swank to cover all possible angles of the culinary experience. Urban Swank has been afforded the opportunity to dine in some of the best and worst kitchens, taste the food of top chefs and not so top chefs, and partake in some of the best cocktails made by renowned mixologists around the world.

Urban Swank, it is not just about the food; it's about the experience. In addition, Urban Swank can separate good food from great food and we understand that great food must be able to stand alone. We are not professionally trained nor have we received national accolades afforded to top chefs and other food critics. Simply put, we are two girls who love great food, great drinks, and great experiences. Through this blog Urban Swank will give you a snapshot into our lives as we embark on a wonderful food filled journey!

Shanna's passions are centered around her love for exploring new destinations, restaurants, and being ahead of the "know". Although she is not professionally versed in the in's and out's of the kitchen, she surely knows her way around it! In summary, she is a true foodie at heart and a travel expert by trade. If you look up the word "swanky", Felice's picture would be right next to it! She loves all things stylish, posh, and that are completely SWANK!
