Revista médica fundamental

Para todas as especialidades clínicas a revista inglesa BMJ é uma referência técnica e de atualização obrigatória. Na versão tablet é ainda melhor. Acessível e fácil de usar.

Useless

Has been good, but having updated my iPad, cannot progress beyond 3.2 Mb downloaded despite logging it and logging back in.

New version slightly less frustrating but as good as the print edition

The good: This offers a version of the weekly printed edition, with almost every article included (I checked). Only the small snippet pieces are omitted. It's quite easy to navigate. There are few adverts. The font size slider does now work, meaning that the paragraph below is now out of date. This is the only improvement in the new version. The bad: The size of the type is small and tiring to read and the tantalising font size slider control doesn't do anything. A workaround is to tap on 'Submit response' which opens the same article in the app's own browser window, where you can pinch to enlarge the type (but see below on login difficulties). You can't follow internet links, including references, from within the app, but the Submit response trick works for this too. Or you can laboriously copy the link and paste it into Safari. The app will search for BMJ doi codes if you copy and paste them. Logging in for BMA members is incredibly frustrating. It took me a long time to realise (and no one tells you) that although my BMA password contains upper case letters, the iPad app only recognises lower case ones. If you do use the Response link as above, you have to log in again to the browser window (which does recognise upper case). This doesn't always remember the login details even if you ask it to so you may have to redo this. Of course you can't do any of these these from the printed magazine either, so I am continuing to use the iPad edition but really hope they fix these problems

Can't increase Text size

Can't read it as text too small and button to change text size doesn't work. Pls fix it.

Core Foundation Framework
Core Foundation is a framework that provides fundamental software services useful to application services, application environments, and to applications themselves. Core Location Framework
The Core Location framework lets you determine the current location or heading associated with a device. The framework uses the available hardware to determine the user’s position and heading. You can also use it to define geographic regions and monitor when the user crosses the boundaries of those regions. In iOS, you can also define a region around a Bluetooth beacon.
Foundation Framework
The Foundation framework provides a base layer of functionality for apps and frameworks, including data storage and persistence, text processing, date and time calculations, sorting and filtering, and networking. The classes, protocols, and data types defined by Foundation are used throughout the macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS SDKs.
Launch Services
macOS Launch Services is an API that enables a running app to open other apps or their document files, similar to the Finder or the Dock.Launch Services eliminates apps having to query the Finder to open an app, document, or URL for them. The macOS Finder itself uses Launch Services to perform such tasks. Because the Finder performs no additional processing beyond calling Launch Services, any client using Launch Services for these purposes behaves identically to the Finder.
