Boston Symphony Orchestra
Now in its 135th season, the Boston Symphony Orchestra gave its inaugural concert on October 22, 1881, and has continued to uphold the vision of its founder, the businessman, philanthropist, Civil War veteran, and amateur musician Henry Lee Higginson, for well over a century. The Boston Symphony Orchestra has performed throughout the United States, as well as in Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, South America, and China; in addition, it reaches audiences numbering in the millions through its performances on radio, television, and recordings. It plays an active role in commissioning new works from today's most important composers; its summer season at Tanglewood is regarded as one of the world's most important music festivals; it helps develop the audience of the future through BSO Youth Concerts and through a variety of outreach programs involving the entire Boston community; and, during the Tanglewood season, it sponsors the Tanglewood Music Center, one of the world's most important training grounds for young composers, conductors, instrumentalists, and vocalists. Today the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Inc., presents more than 250 concerts annually. It is an ensemble that has richly fulfilled Henry Lee Higginson's vision of a great and permanent orchestra in Boston.

App crashes on IOS 10.3.2

The app crashes immediately after startup on IOS 10.3.2. Please take a look. We love the BSO and this looks like a useful app but I am unable to use it. Thank you for looking into this issue.

No way to permanently log in

The app for the iPad was released in January 2017, & has gotten an update as recently as April 6th. The iPhone version was released in 2016 & hasn't been updated since Nov 2016. And it shows: Whereas one is compelled to login on the iPad app, there's no obvious way to login on the iPhone version unless you actually buy tickets. There should also be a way to scrub (or navigate) the audio content.

What a welcome app!

The only serious flaw is that if you have to pause in the middle of a selection that you are playing, the app does not allow you to return to where you left off, and you have to start all over again and use the very slow Fast Forward.

3 app feature suggestions

Imagine holding the BSO in your hand! This app is a handy way to view the concert calendar and buy tickets. I actually prefer the layout of the concert listings here to viewing them on the main BSO website! I enjoy storing my tickets on my phone. Three wishes in your next app update: Wish #1: Keep me signed into my BSO account. It's a drag to have to re-enter my personal info every time I use the app. Wish #2: a simple menu item: MY TICKETS. Help speed access to Symphony Hall with this one button access to e-tickets! Why make patrons navigate through app menus and hold up the lines? Better yet, give app access to the Apple Wallet, just like plane tickets! Wish #3: allow app to add dates to my iPhone Calendar app. Thanks for listening! Dave Read WFCC World Classical Network

Great way to quickly get BSO info.

I can quickly pull up concert previews, podcasts, and program notes for shows. I love that I can pull up the seating charts, too, so I have an idea where I’m heading before I get into the hall.
