Description:
The CubeSmart Walking app is required for CubeSmart teammates who wish to participate in the Step into Wellness Challenge in order to track your steps throughout the competition. The app uses your phone’s data to record the number of steps you take. It is important to keep your phone with you throughout the day to be sure all of your steps are recorded. Your steps will automatically sync to the Step into Wellness dashboard which can be found on CubeCenter. The dashboard will show you how you are stacking up against the rest of the participants, including the Divisional Vice Presidents.
Here are some helpful tips to get you started:
• Going for brisk walks is an easy and inexpensive way to improve your physical fitness.
• Start by walking 15 minutes a day and increase your distance and speed over time.
• Begin and end your walks with five minutes of slow walking to warm up and cool down your muscles.
• Aim to reach a pace of 3.5 to 4 miles an hour to raise your heart rate.
• Make enjoying a brisk walk most days of the week your goal.
