History:
*1986: The first Five Guys location opens in Arlington, VA.
*1986 - 2001: Five Guys opens five locations around the DC metro-area and perfected their business of making burgersÉ and starts to build a cult-like following.
* 2002: Five Guys decides DC metro-area residents shouldn't be the only ones to experience their burgers and start to franchise in Virginia and Maryland.
* 2003: Five Guys sells out of franchise territory within 18 months and starts to open the rest of the country for franchise rights.
* 2003 - 2012: Five Guys expands to over 1,000 locations in the U.S. and Canada.
* In July 2013, Five Guys opens the first location outside of North America in London, England.
* Our International HQ in Amsterdam, NL opened in 2016.
* Today, we have more than 1450 locations open in North America, Canada, UK, the Middle East and Europe and growing.

Terrific!
I was late to pick up my order. They were not fazed by that. Very polite. Had my order out to my car and the order was still warm. Very nice on all levels!

Smooth and Easy
Whether or not you like, hate or can’t live without Five Guys Burgers, the app is what I am reviewing here. Personally, I do like their burgers & fries, but I digress. The app is clear, simple and easy to navigate. First-timers can place an order with ease. Nice work 5G’s, nice work.

Needs better gift card support
I can’t figure out how to add a new gift card without making a new purchase. It also doesn’t seem to add the cards together to keep a running total but keeps them as separate payment methods. Additionally and worst of all it doesn’t appear you can do partial payments from the gift card and a credit card so there will always be an unusable balance left behind. Please fix these issues.

Forgot mushrooms
Just ordered from five guys (Cuyahoga Falls,Ohio)
Got home and took a bite and noticed I got no mushrooms on my burger

No way to know status of order.
After you place your order, you get nothing in terms of confirmation number, order number or any indication that your order was received and is being worked on. Instead you get complete confusion when you get to the restaurant. People will be standing all over and you have no idea what to do when you arrive. If you don’t go up to the counter and recite your order, they won’t work on it. Might as well just order and pay when you get there. The app is useless.
