Technical difficulties still hamper otherwise great app

The app, when it works, is great. The reading experience is much better than on a computer and layout is appealing. The issue I have is how often the app doesn't work to get new content. My hypothesis is that this is actually due to glitches with the data store. It is very problematic and almost always seems to be down via computer when the app is having difficulties. Bottom line for me is that it is not good enough to drop print. Print has no such glitches.
