The IHI Open School for Health Professions is an interprofessional educational community that has given more than 100,000 students, residents, faculty, and professionals the quality and safety skills to improve health care. More than 50,000 people have taken at least one of the self-paced, online courses and more than 500 face-to-face IHI Open School Chapters have developed around the world. Join this growing community and access many of the website’s free resources in the palm of your hand.

Features:
•Take the entire IHI Open School catalog of courses, including the audio clips, video interviews, and post-lesson assessment quizzes. The courses cover quality improvement, patient safety, leadership, patient- and family-centered care, managing health care operations, and population health. Complete all the courses and earn a certificate of completion that you can proudly display on your resume, showing future employers you’re passionate about improving systems and care for patients. (The courses are free for students, residents, faculty, and users from the least developed countries. Professionals can purchase a one-year subscription or organizations can purchase training for a group.)

Crashes constantly

This is a great concept. However, every single time there is a screen with a video and I choose to read the transcript instead of playing the video, it logs me out when I try to move to the next page. Super annoying. I have to log in again, it takes me to the same page, and then I can move on. At least I guess I'll never forget my username and password. :-/

The app crashes all the time and says it has errors all the time it also just vibrates and backs you out of your courses at random times. Needs improvements...

Poor user retention

Great idea, but the software locks up every 8 minutes on my iPad mini. Things just stop moving and the program gets looped into a perpetual lag. Only way to fix it seems to be deleting the software and reinstalling the program. Unfortunately, IHI is not very responsive to the situation.

Great concept. Clean build. However, I can't complete a course without receiving an error message after Ice completed the test. Not ready yet.

Love this app!

I've challenged myself to take all of the courses in the catalog by Thanksgiving, but it's been tough trying to find down time with my laptop to do so. This works great for me while on the train, and is even more streamlined than the website itself. Thank you IHI!

The AV Foundation framework provides an Objective-C interface for managing and playing audio-visual media in iOS and OS X applications.
CFNetwork
Access network services and handle changes in network configurations. Build on abstractions of network protocols to simplify tasks such as working with BSD sockets, administering HTTP and FTP servers, and managing Bonjour services.
Core Foundation Framework
Core Foundation is a framework that provides fundamental software services useful to application services, application environments, and to applications themselves. Core Foundation also provides abstractions for common data types, facilitates internationalization with Unicode string storage, and offers a suite of utilities such as plug-in support, XML property lists, URL resource access, and preferences.
Core Location Framework
The Core Location framework lets you determine the current location or heading associated with a device. The framework uses the available hardware to determine the user’s position and heading. You use the classes and protocols in this framework to configure and schedule the delivery of location and heading events. You can also use it to define geographic regions and monitor when the user crosses the boundaries of those regions. In iOS, you can also define a region around a Bluetooth beacon.
Core Telephony Framework
Use the Core Telephony framework to obtain information about a user’s home cellular service provider—that is, the provider with whom the user has an account. Carriers can use this information to write applications that provide services only for their own subscribers. You can also use this framework to obtain information about current cellular calls.
Foundation Framework
The Foundation framework provides a base layer of functionality for apps and frameworks, including data storage and persistence, text processing, date and time calculations, sorting and filtering, and networking. The classes, protocols, and data types defined by Foundation are used throughout the macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS SDKs.
MobileCoreServices
Use uniform type identifier (UTI) information to create and manipulate data that can be exchanged between your app and other apps and services using MobileCoreServices.
Quartz Core Framework
Allow users to browse, edit, and save images, using slideshows and Core Image filters.The Quartz Composer API supports processing and rendering graphical data and allows developers to create custom patches for the Quartz Composer developer tool. ImageKit provides user interface support for browsing, editing, and saving images, showing slideshows, and browsing and previewing Core Image filters. PDFKit is a technology that allows applications to display and manipulate PDF documents.
UIKit
The UIKit framework (UIKit.framework) provides the crucial infrastructure needed to construct and manage iOS apps. This framework provides the window and view architecture needed to manage an app’s user interface, the event handling infrastructure needed to respond to user input, and the app model needed to drive the main run loop and interact with the system.
WebKit
WebKit provides a set of classes to display web content in windows, and implements browser features such as following links when clicked by the user, managing a back-forward list, and managing a history of pages recently visited.
