Assessment of the dry bulk, tanker and gas markets. Based on professional assessments made by a global panel of shipbrokers, Baltic information is used as a settlement tool for freight derivative trades, for benchmarking physical contracts and as a general indicator of the bulk market's performance.


Baltic data is of the highest quality – each day we publish seven headline indices, four timecharter averages 66 route assessments and timecharter equivalents (for the tanker market) covering every major dry bulk, tanker and gas sector. Assessments are provided by a panel of global shipbrokers who are independent experts in the markets they report.


The information is compiled and published during both the European and Asian working day by our London and Singapore offices.


The Baltic App allows members and subscribers instant access to a wide range of Baltic information including rates, forward curves, fixtures, Member contacts, news and much more.

Market data:

The Baltic’s full suite of spot dry, tanker and gas assessments are now instantly available. Also accessible are weekly sale & purchase and recycling assessments. The app allows the user to quickly and easily view and graph the markets with a couple of clicks.

FFA data:

All Baltic Forward Assessments can be viewed in chart format. Useful data such as weekly volumes, open interest and volatility can also be accessed.


Intelligence:

All of the Baltic’s intelligence services can be accessed via the app. A key feature is the comprehensive dry cargo fixture database which contains fixtures dating back to 2016. All circulars covering index and route changes are offered as are weekly tanker and dry bulk market reports. All Baltic events information can be accessed, including market forums, training and education courses and social activities. Users can choose to receive intelligence notification alerts.


Membership directory:

The Baltic’s 3,400 plus members can now be easily found and contacted via the app. An easy to use search facility brings up each company’s member employees and their direct contact details including phone and email.
