Remove Top Status Bar

Why is it that with these amazing iPad displays that we can’t watch a movie without the status bar staying at the top? I want an option to watch a movie without it.

App limitations

I don’t see Vudu lasting forever. You can only view, buy, and rent movie shows. You can’t review your account information or edit anything. Like how would I update my credit card every time it expires? Do I gotta really be placed on hold with customer support or log into different laptops instead of doing the same thing with my phone or tv? Or at least let me be able to have alternate ways of paying. Current I can only add one card. If I add another one it will just overwrite the previous.
