The Global Currency Card is a reloadable prepaid Visa card used to make payments in multiple currencies, either in person or online, wherever Visa cards are accepted. You can choose from 11 currencies, locking in the exchange rate when you load funds onto the card.

It’s a simple, secure and convenient way to shop, whether online or overseas.

The mobile app helps you manage your card on the go. You can:
- View your wallet balances and transactions
- Add currency wallets
- Transfer money between your wallets, exchange money, remove wallets and change your wallet order
- Temporarily block and unblock your card
- Report lost or stolen cards and change your card PIN
- Change and reset your username and password
- Set transaction alerts via push notifications
- Track your load limit

The Global Currency Card is available to Westpac Bank customers with an Australian residential address, over 16 years of age.

Don't do it

Do not get this card or use app. Do not suffer like I have. The app is very basic can't do much other than see your balance. Some ATMs overseas did not accept card. Also, When you get back you can't get your remainder cash out. No way of extending card after expiry. App gives you no option. ATM only dispenses $100 bills but if you have $30 left you can't get it back! The teller wanted to charge $20 to close - Nor can you transfer back into your own account. You can't use normal website only from laptop/desktop but I only have iPad so browser non supportive. Just awful. In tears.

Missing many features

Very basic. Not able to update pin (with password like on a laptop), cannot view statements or history, suspend/reactivate card use. The Westpac global card mobile site for iPhones also barely functions. Overall, not a handy card unless you have access to the full (non-mobile) website.

Useless - can't even sign in

This is beyond useless. I can't even sign in! And yes, my user name and password are 100% correct and still work on the normal website. I've tried them both about 20 times to no avail. No, the website is not mobile friendly. Pretty annoying altogether!

Pretty terrible- Reinstalled the App twice and am still unable to convert Aust to Euros on my Phone. Not convenient at all. The recommended Westpac webpage to use as an alternative does not fit on a iPhone screen so the entire experience is frustrating and pointless
