Goop.com
Goop is one of the rare places on the web where food, shopping, and mindfulness collide„where the ever-evolving intent is to make every choice count. WeÍre all resource strapped, so goop hopes to surface the very best experiences, recipes, products, and advice. Launched in the fall of 2008 out of Gwyneth PaltrowÍs kitchen, goop was originally conceived as a weekly e-mail newsletter. Its intent was two-fold: GP wanted a place to organize her unbiased travel recs, health-centric recipes, and shopping discoveries for friends, and she also wanted to get her own questions„about health, fitness, and the psyche„answered. Now, goop has become a place for GP to introduce some of the incredible experts who have mentored her throughout her life to a wider audience, and a place where readers can find suggestions about where to shop, eat, and stay from a trusted friend„not from an anonymous, crowd-sourced recommendation engine. While ThursdayÍs Letter from GP remains an email inbox staple, goop has grown significantly since its launch: ThereÍs now a collective of people behind the brand, daily content, and a roster of collaborations with some of our favorite designers, who weÍve partnered with to create wardrobe staples and special finds, turning goop into a fully shoppable, lifestyle brand. Despite its growth, many things have stayed the same: We know who we are; our words and actions are aligned; and we take a curious, unbiased, open-minded, and service-centric approach to the work we do. We test the waters so that you donÍt have to. We will never recommend something that we donÍt love, and think worthy of your wallets and your time. We value your trust above all things. Ultimately, we hope goop is an indispensable resource for all who love to make, go, get, do, be and see.

My first stop when planning travel

I have been using this app since it launched. No matter what side of the GP fence you sit, this is an excellent guide for everything you need when traveling to one of the reviewed locations! They list always the most unique and special places and I know the quality will always be outstanding whatever I choose. Love it❤️

Another perspective on your fave destinations.

It’s a great treat to see your fave travel destination thru the eyes of GP. Granted we can guess some are product placements, but we found a few gems to fit our middle class travels. Especially the family recommendations which I hope she continues. The restaurants can tend to be upscale but there are a few affordable ones. Perhaps she should add a $ rating like Yelp to show the price range of the restaurant.

What happened to saving favorites?

This is a super handy app for travel planning. I used it quite a bit on my last trip to Paris. My only complaint (and its a big one) is that the previous iteration had a save functionality, so you could “favorite” the spots you plan to visit. Now I have to dig through lots of stuff to try and find my faves again.

So handy - want more!

Recently used a couple of the recs while in Hong Kong - loved them! So useful and grateful for this little app. Looking for more cities please!
Core Foundation Framework
Core Foundation is a framework that provides fundamental software services useful to application services, application environments, and to applications themselves. Core Foundation also provides abstractions for common data types, facilitates internationalization with Unicode string storage, and offers a suite of utilities such as plug-in support, XML property lists, URL resource access, and preferences.
Core Graphics
The Core Graphics framework is based on the Quartz advanced drawing engine. It provides low-level, lightweight 2D rendering with unmatched output fidelity. You use this framework to handle path-based drawing, transformations, color management, offscreen rendering, patterns, gradients and shadings, image data management, image creation, and image masking, as well as PDF document creation, display, and parsing.
Foundation Framework
The Foundation framework provides a base layer of functionality for apps and frameworks, including data storage and persistence, text processing, date and time calculations, sorting and filtering, and networking. The classes, protocols, and data types defined by Foundation are used throughout the macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS SDKs.
Launch Services
macOS Launch Services is an API that enables a running app to open other apps or their document files, similar to the Finder or the Dock.Launch Services eliminates apps having to query the Finder to open an app, document, or URL for them. The macOS Finder itself uses Launch Services to perform such tasks. Because the Finder performs no additional processing beyond calling Launch Services, any client using Launch Services for these purposes behaves identically to the Finder.
MobileCoreServices
Use uniform type identifier (UTI) information to create and manipulate data that can be exchanged between your app and other apps and services using MobileCoreServices.
Quartz Core Framework
Allow users to browse, edit, and save images, using slideshows and Core Image filters. The Quartz Composer API supports processing and rendering graphical data and allows developers to create custom patches for the Quartz Composer developer tool. ImageKit provides user interface support for browsing, editing, and saving images, showing slideshows, and browsing and previewing Core Image filters. PDFKit is a technology that allows applications to display and manipulate PDF documents.
Security Framework
Secure the data your app manages. Protect information and control access to your app.
System Configuration F...
This collection of documents describes the programming interfaces of the System Configuration framework. The System Configuration framework provides functions that determine the reachability of target hosts in both a synchronous and an asynchronous manner. It also provides error detection facilities.
Core Location Framework
The Core Location framework lets you determine the current location or heading associated with a device. The framework uses the available hardware to determine the user’s position and heading. You use the classes and protocols in this framework to configure and schedule the delivery of location and heading events. You can also use it to define geographic regions and monitor when the user crosses the boundaries of those regions. In iOS, you can also define a region around a Bluetooth beacon.
UIKit
The UIKit framework (UIKit.framework) provides the crucial infrastructure needed to construct and manage iOS apps. This framework provides the window and view architecture needed to manage an app’s user interface, the event handling infrastructure needed to respond to user input, and the app model needed to drive the main run loop and interact with the system.
